Memphis, Tenn. (August 8, 2012) – For an hour Tuesday afternoon, on the campus of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Gov. Bill Haslam led a candid conversation with some 25 Memphis educators, business leaders and legislators. His goal was to glean their perspective, ideas and comments on how the state can help education and business leaders raise the quality of our postsecondary graduates.
On Tuesday, July 17, Governor Haslam held the first in a series of seven local discussions on higher education at Northeast State Technical Community College.

The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees will meet in Knoxville tomorrow, June 20 through Thursday, June 21. A number of issues are on the agenda, including the President’s report, the FY2013 Operating Budget, student tuition and fees, and the system strategic plan.
